Welcome to the Lotus Car Club of British Columbia WebsiteWe are a group of over 200 Lotus car enthusiasts based in BC's Lower Mainland. Established in 1980, the Lotus Car Club of BC (LCCBC) is a non-profit society dedicated to preserving the rich history and traditions of Lotus Cars. The LCCBC serves Lotus enthusiasts in Western Canada and the North Western United States by providing friendship, shared experiences, and support for car owners. While not all club members are current owners of the marque, all enjoy a wide variety of models/years of Lotus cars. Monthly meetings are mostly held online using ZOOM to facilitate out-of-town members' participation. However, we also meet at members' homes, at a pub/restaurant, and occasionally at local car-related venues. Members participate in a variety of events with their cars both in Canada and the US, including car shows, tours, auto-crosses and track days. Events are also coordinated with other car clubs when appropriate. Of most interest, the club has drives and social events throughout the year. While many members are "gear heads", we are a proud social club and encourage spouses/partners to attend all events. The LCCBC communicates with members by email for local, international and current news, as well as pictures and information about the Lotus company itself. Members share information about Lotus cars for sale, parts available, and knowledge in solving problems or modifying a Lotus. The Club produces a PDF Newsletter ("Cam Journal") throughout the year, which is distributed by email. Members also receive other Clubs' newsletters when sent to the Club. The LCCBC has electronically archived copies of the Cam Journal since its inception in 1980 and they are available for reference by Club members. There is also a Members Only Forum, an online resource archive and a variety of Lotus Club merchandise. Meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm and last for 1~2 hours. These meetings are mostly informal affairs with time for a virtual tour of a member's garage/project and general conversations about projects that people are working on. Throughout the year there are also casual Saturday or Sunday morning chats; "Lotus Cars & Coffee" Zoom sessions. Members are not required to own a Lotus. If you are considering buying a Lotus, or in the process of rebuilding a Lotus, Club members are an excellent resource for information, as well as providing support and encouragement with your project. Membership dues are $25 per year, the Club's fiscal year is Nov 1 Oct 31. If you are interested in motoring fun and enjoy Lotus cars - whether you have one, want one, or just enjoy the brand - please contact us to find out when and where our next club meeting is or event takes place, or to ask for a copy of our most recent newsletter so you can see first-hand what we're all about! Or join now by completing the Membership enrollment tab! |
